Addendum

What is an Addendum to Mortgage Deeds & Deeds of Trust?

An addendum to a mortgage loan or real estate agreement is an addition to a promissory note, deed or other legal document that amends or clarifies the terms of the original document.

A valid addendum must satisfy all the requirements of a legal contract and clearly specify the original agreement that it is amending. As the name suggests, an addendum “adds” more terms, conditions or covenants to the original contract.
