Aeolian Soil

What is the Aeolian Soil?

Aeolian soil refers to dirt, dust and other soil deposited by wind-blown material.

This is in contrast with alluvial soil, which is carried by water. Some soil are subject to both, as in the case of sand dunes which are often first carried by water and then formed by winds.
